Part of Innovate New Albany’s TIGER Talks Series:
Often times, entrepreneurs are so busy getting their companies up and running, that they don’t devote any time to establishing a company structure that will attract investors while also protecting their interests. To keep things moving, they quickly pick a legal entity and corporate structure that they “heard a friend used” or simply “seemed OK.” Later, many find that, while they may have established a legal entity, the way they structured the underlying paperwork is detrimental to their ability to control their own entrepreneurial destiny. Or – that the structure chosen may make their company much less attractive to potential investors! Lindsay Stencel will give strategies for entrepreneurs to consider – to protect your personal business goals AND make your documentation attractive to investors.
