Joe Simkins from Teconomy Partners LLC will walk through a case study of using the free software tool Gephi to visualize the innovation relationships formed by networks of patenting activity. The talk will cover how to make use of some convenient network analysis packages in the R statistical programming software to export files that make the most of Gephi’s powerful, but sometimes unstable visualization interface and demonstrate how to produce graphical representations of data that represent relationships between entities for analysis and presentation.
NOTE: Due to scheduling conflicts, this month’s meeting is on a Wednesday, rather than the traditional Tuesday.
