This virtual meetup we will discuss preparing for the AWS Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C01) and Associate Solutions Architect (SAA-C02) exams. It will be followed by a brief discussion about the re:invent 2021 conference in Las Vegas. Anyone studying to be AWS certified or those who signed up for the “2021 Get AWS Certified Solutions Architect by re:Invent Challenge” will find this meetup beneficial.
There are many resources available to prepare for AWS certification. During the first half of this virtual meetup we will discuss many of the free and paid resources we found helpful for the exam as well as tips and suggestions on how to prepare for the exams. We will open up the meetup to questions.
The remaining half hour of this meetup will focus on the re:Invent 2021 conference coming this November. Angelo, who has attended 6 re:Invent conferences, will discuss the benefits of going, what to expect at the conference, how the various types of sessions such as workshops, labs and chalk-talks work, and how to best maximize your learning experience at the conference. One of the many benefits of the conference are the all-day certification preparation sessions that are available, plus you can take the certification exams while you are there. For those who cannot attend, re:Invent 2021 is also available virtually for FREE! The virtual event gives you limited access to the conference, you will only have access to the live keynotes and leadership sessions.
Presenters:
This meetup will be presented by Angelo and Heather Mandato. Angelo and Heather took and passed both the AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate Solutions Architect exams this late September. Angelo’s company Blubrry Podcasting has been using AWS since 2009. Angelo has had the opportunity to attend every re:Invent since 2016. Heather is a seasoned C# developer with over 15 years experience. Her employer is in the process of migrating workloads to AWS. In her free time Heather maintains 2 Alexa apps.
