The August meeting will present Power BI’s “Dashboard in an Hour”. Dashboard in an Hour (DIAH) has received high praise from the community and is an engaging session for both new and experienced users of Power BI. DIAH is an interactive session in which user group members will build out a dashboard in Power BI. All of the software and data will be provided and everyone can follow along. The scenario for DIAH is a dataset focused on sales and market share analysis, a common scenario for the office of a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Unlike the office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a CMO is focused not only on a company’s performance internally (how well do our products sell) but also externally (how well do we do against the competing products).
The agenda will be as follows:
• 6:00pm – 6:30pm: Eat, distribute software and materials, “What’s New with Power BI” presentation
• 6:30pm – 7:30pm: Dashboard in an Hour session
• 7:30pm – 8:00pm: Open discussion around DIAH session and Q&A
Please come prepared with a laptop to have a fun and engaging session with the Columbus Azure ML and Power BI User Group! If this session is well received, we will look into doing a “Machine Learning Model in an Hour”.
