We’d like to invite you to join us at Idea Foundry for a presentation from Valliappa (Lak) Lakshmana, our Tech Lead for Data and Machine Learning Professional Services for Google Cloud on Tuesday, June 12th at 6:00pm.
Lak’s mission is to democratize machine learning so that it can be done by anyone anywhere using Google’s amazing infrastructure, without deep knowledge of statistics or programming or ownership of a lot of hardware. His book, Data Science on the Google Cloud Platform.
Implementing End-to-End Real-Time Data Pipelines: From Ingest to Machine Learning, was recently published. Before Google, he led a team of data scientists at the Climate Corporation and was a Research Scientist at NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory, working on machine learning applications for severe weather diagnosis and prediction Title: End-to-End Machine Learning with TensorFlow on GCP
Abstract:
In this talk Lak will walk through the process of building a complete machine learning pipeline covering ingest, exploration, training, evaluation, deployment, and prediction. Along the way, he will discuss how to explore and split large data sets correctly using BigQuery and Cloud Datalab.
