As technically inclined, highly skilled and focused people we sometime lose the notion that we are not the center of the universe. Once we have achieved a level of success we must still remember what it’s like to be new on the team, app, language, or industry and we must help others that are new to the path.
In this talk, Matt Darby will share personal experiences throughout his 20 year career and provide insight into my stumbling points and growth.
Matt is a a Senior Developer IV at Rackspace and has served as a Professor at Franklin University. Additionally, he holds a Master’s in Computer Science and leads the 500 members Columbus Ruby Brigade. He has launched projects for folks from Rackspace, AT&T, Sprint, LivingSocial ,and SeoMoz to startups such as Fooda, GiveForward, BondIntelligentCare, and Pearachutekids.
