Mike Blackwell and Mike McCann of Rev1 Ventures will lead a lively discussion on launching a technology venture here in Central Ohio. They will describe Rev1’s approach to validating a concept BEFORE you build it and creating an inspiring product that people actually want to buy!
Presenters: Mike Blackwell (<a href=”https://www.linkedin.com/in/mikeblackwell1″>Linkedin), VP of Entrepreneur Development, is responsible for leading Rev1 clients through a rigorous process of Concept Validation, delivering advice, guidance, tools, and sometimes capital to build inspiring products and services. Mike is the former CEO of ShareThis and a serial entrepreneur. In addition, he has managed and grown products within companies that became household names including Netscape and America Online. Mike holds a BA in Communications from The Ohio State University.
Mike McCann (LinkedIn), Director of FirstConnect Programs, helps clients “make history of their own” by leading strategic programs that provide access to expertise and talent. The Expert Network connects startups with quality professional services firms. And Rev1 offers a growing set of talent initiatives that help startups find the resources they need. Mike earned his BA and MBA at The Ohio State University.
