Hi all, We will be hosting our first Kubernetes Meetup on Thursday, November 17th at Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) in their cafeteria. We will use this Meetup as a primer for the group and work with attendees on building a local community around Kubernetes.

Presentation: Kubernetes 101
Kubernetes container orchestration is one of the fastest growing open-source projects in the world, with contributions from Google, Red Hat, CoreOS, Apprenda, and many other large technology companies.
For this first meetup, Isaac Arias will explore topics including:
• I Have My Apps in Docker Containers, Now What?
• Kubernetes History, Origins, and Architecture
• Popular Use Cases for Kubernetes
Speaker Bio:
Isaac “Ike” Arias is the Senior Director of Worldwide Solutions Engineering at Apprenda. He has designed high-traffic, web-scale properties for the past 20 years. The virtual goods online trading platform he invented in 1999 was used by companies like Disney, Warner Bros, and the Coca-Cola Company. Ike has consulted for Time Inc., Johnson & Johnson, and others on digital operations at scale. He started his career in telecomm, working for AT&T and Bell Labs. Follow him on Twitter at @iketweets.
