Florence Gouvrit will present some examples of what is produced in the studio course “Internet Art” in the department of Art at OSU. Students use the software “Processing” to produce a wide range of possible applications such as generative drawing, interactive applications, data visualization, and video and sound applications for the web in the context of new media art. She will also show some examples of the international art scene within data visualization and interactive art. 

Florence is a new media artist. Her work is based on synthetic emotions, artificiality, human-machine interaction, empathy, culture and technologically mediated behavior. She utilizes interactive video installations, robotics, data visualization and digital fabrication.
