This will be a survey course on DevOps. We’ll talk about what it is. What it isn’t. What it could be. And what it usually ends up being.
This is a foundational course that all the subsequent courses will build upon. It will give you the big picture of DevOps as you struggle to get Kubernetes to work in your hybrid cloud. For the newbie, the wannabe and the curious.
Four years ago when I started at SAP my boss handed me two books, The Phoenix Project by Gene Kim and Continuous Delivery by Jez Humble and said, “Here read these and figure out this DevOps thing.” I hadn’t even heard of the term DevOps. And now I are one. ๐
David Laulusa has been on the DevOpsDays Columbus organizing committee since it’s inception. He has spoken at several DevOpsDays around the country: Dallas, Kansas City, Detroit, Nashville, Hartford, Raleigh, Madison, Des Moines, Denver and Silicon Valley. He is also a co-leader of the DevOps Columbus Meetup. And recently he had the opportunity to speak at the Time Series Meetup in San Francisco.
