Now in its ninth year, the Columbus Emerging Leaders Summit is a one-day leadership conference that brings together passionate, smart, and engaged young professionals from across Central Ohio to connect and grow while learning from local speakers and thought-leaders.
This year’s summit will be hosted at Franklin University’s Ross Auditorium in downtown Columbus on Friday, October 11, 2019. The full-day event will run 8:00am-4:00pm. Here is our agenda:
8:00am – Arrival, Morning Connections, and Breakfast & Coffee powered by Barry Bagels
9:00am – Welcome
9:15am – Emerging Innovators: A Superstar Panel
We will host a panel interview of innovators and newsmakers in Columbus. How did they make it at such a young age? What is the secret to their success? What are their tips for fellow emerging leaders?
10:15am – MID-MORNING BREAK
10:25am-11:25am – Emerging Leadership in Real Time
We will present four back-to-back speakers each with a relevant message in order of age to showcase a real-time progression. Speeches will last for 10 minutes each and will showcase stories of accomplishments and learning for leaders in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s:
• Speaker 1 – 10:25-10:35am: “Leadership in your 20s”
• Speaker 2 – 10:40-10:50am: “Leadership in your 30s”
• Speaker 3 – 11:00-11:10am: “Leadership in your 40s”
• Speaker 4 – 11:15-11:25am: “Leadership in your 50s”
11:30am – Lunch
Lunch will be available from 11:30am-1:00pm. During lunch we will highlight and present awards to our “NEXT UP” EMERGING LEADERS for 2019!
1:00pm – DOWN TIME / NETWORKING BREAK
1:30pm – Millennial Mentoring Access Sessions
For our afternoon sessions, attendees will have the chance to meet and learn from local executives/C-suiters, during a rotating mentor access session.
• Topics of conversation will include: “Finding Mentors,” “Are You Being Valued as a Young Professional?,” “Gaining a Seat at the Table,” “The Influence of Peers,” and more.
3:45pm – Closing Remarks & Dismissal
COST TO ATTEND: An “early bird” summit pass is $39. On September 1st the price will increase to $49 and on October 1st it will increase to $68. Tickets include a full day of speakers & presentations, mentoring & networking, breakfast, coffee, lunch, an event tote bag, and free parking all day. Water, coffee, tea, and snacks will also be available throughout the duration of the summit.
