Last month we hard a fantastic turn-out for our meetup! We received a lot of suggestions for topics and one of those was Databricks. We are looking to repeat that again this month and have lined up a Databricks speaker, Sriharsh Adari! We are hoping to add another speaker, perhaps on Cosmos DB or other Power BI topic. Stay tuned!

Azure Databricks is one of the hottest data services in Azure nowadays. Microsoft puts it in many referential architectures, and recommends it in many scenarios – starting from analytics, through ETL processes, streaming data, ending with Machine Learning Use cases. Azure Databricks is gaining a large amount of momentum as it helps many organizations tackle large big data, advanced analytics, and . In this session, you will be introduced to the Azure Databricks platform, how it can fit into your architecture, and how you can get started using the platform today.
We will also cover few demos using Azure Data Bricks around how to get started, getting used to the environment, how it is integrated with overall Azure Data ecosystem and one advanced analytics use case too.

Sriharsh Adari is Technology strategist & Cloud BI Architect. He has around 15 years of experience helping customers with setting up Data Platforms focused towards Microsoft BI. Over the past few years he has been helping customers to migrate on-premise data workloads onto Cloud Data Platforms – Azure, AWS and set up new data Platforms on Cloud. Sriharsh is passionate about all things related to Data, Big Data and Business Intelligence.
