AWH and Tech Elevator invite you to the API Workshop Series – Part 2, The Business of Bots

The second workshop in our API series will feature Brian Sherwin, Technical Evangelist at Microsoft.

The workshop will include:

11:30am – 12:00pm: Lunch and Networking

12:00pm – 12:15pm: What Does the Rise of Bots Mean for API? Presented by Chris Slee, AWH

As bot technology continues to evolve, there’s been a lot of talk about disruption in the modern tech landscape. It’s clear that bots will cause a major paradigm shift in customer service, e-commerce, and all aspects of software-to-human interaction. Some believe bots will soon replace the apps driven by APIs. Others have even referred to bots as “the death of the API”. Is this all hyperbole or is there truth behind these opinions?

12:15pm – 12:45pm: The Future of Intelligent User Interactions. Presented by Brian Sherwin, Microsoft

Whether it is an interaction with a service, a website or a pre-screening process, Bots (or digital conversations) are rapidly becoming a part our digital experience. There are common problems that all bot developers face from intelligent interactions to language understanding to platform integration. We will talk about common patterns to design, build and connect bots that will engage your users wherever they are. We will examine patterns for interaction and introduce integration with APIs and natural language processing and artificial intelligence.

12:45pm – 1:00pm: Utilizing Bots as a New Channel for Existing Partners and Business Models. Presented by Shaul Weisband, Jifiti

Jifiti collects the gifting data from the tens of millions of interactions on its gifting platforms. By making this data and its unique payment infrastructure available via its chat bot API, brands are able to offer a one of a kind gift discovery and instant purchase experience within their chat bots.

1:00pm – 1:30pm: Closing Remarks and Networking Lunch is provided by AWH and Tech Elevator.
