Los Angeles, CA client has a contract opportunity for a Senior Data Operations Analyst who will be embedded in the weekly rhythm of several stakeholder teams: attending their meetings, capturing what they know, confirming it with the accountable leaders, and turning it into clean, structured, trusted data. Over time you’ll be one of the few people who sees the dataset and the workflow end-to-end, which puts you in a position to spot conflicts, surface friction, and recommend improvements no one else can see.
- Location/TimeZone (On-site): LA, open to NYC, but LA is preferred
- Hours: 9-6pm their time zone
Role Summary
- The centralized content and campaign planning platform is the system of record that senior leaders across marketing, publicity, and programming use to make scheduling, campaign, and resourcing decisions. Those leaders do not have the capacity to maintain the dataset themselves, and without a dedicated resource embedded in their weekly rhythm, the data degrades: entries go stale, cross-team conflicts persist unresolved, and decisions get made against an incomplete picture.
- This role protects the integrity of that dataset by capturing information at the source, confirming it with accountable owners, and maintaining it to a defined standard work that currently falls to senior team members at a significantly higher cost per hour, pulling capacity away from strategic priorities.
- It is structured as a contract engagement by design: as the workflow matures and automation is layered in, the manual capture and entry burden is intended to reduce, and the position resolves itself rather than becoming permanent headcount.
- Experience working with media and title data is best suited for this role as they will structure data and build workflows around this data.
- The work is sensitive and requires confidentiality, and an ability to work with high level stakeholders, able to converse well with Senior level staff, running meetings and presenting data.
- They will be trained on our tools, heavy experience with Excel and Sheets in pivot tables/vlookup/formulas, however we will be building heavily in Airtable (or Asana, or Smartsheet, or Monday.com – low code data tools) for workflows, managing global title marketing campaigns.
- Experience with low code/no code tooling is required, Airtable is a nice to have.
TOP Critical Skills or Must Haves:
- 4+ years in a data analyst, internal research, business operations, or reporting role; rigor, judgment, and stakeholder fluency matter more than depth of technical background
- Entertainment or media industry background: content slates, production and release timelines, title-level data
- Demonstrated strength turning unstructured input (meetings, conversations, documents) into structured, reliable data
- Proven track record handling confidential or pre-release information in a professional setting
- Strong stakeholder management: direct experience working with senior leaders, managing competing inputs, and holding your ground on data accuracy
- Comfort with low-code/no-code tooling and relational data concepts – tables, linked records, formulas, views
- Excellent written communication: clear notes, clear status, clear escalations
Nice to Have:
- Airtable experience, including formulas, views, and interfaces
- Marketing data experience (campaign planning, media, creative operations)
Deal Breakers:
This role requires being proactive and intuitive, this is an environment that is evolving and transforming so agility is required. At times priorities will change and they should be able to pivot as needed.
Job Description:
- The dataset includes unreleased slate, production, and campaign information, so discretion is a baseline requirement of the role.
- This is a contract engagement, and the workflow is being actively built and refined. The person in this seat is a direct contributor to that design.
- Attend recurring stakeholder meetings and capture decisions, data points, action items, and open questions
- Confirm data directly with accountable business leaders before entry
- Enter and maintain records accurately and within established turnaround expectations
- Handle confidential and pre-release information with discretion, including embargoed titles, unannounced projects, and internal timelines
- Handle in-the-moment stakeholder requests, triaging what can be entered directly versus what needs confirmation
- Come to weekly alignment prepared with the state of your work
- Identify and escalate data conflicts, stale records, and process friction
- Maintain a running observations log and bring recommendations on data health and cross-team patterns
- Provide direct feedback on the workflow itself to inform ongoing process design
What We’re Looking For
This role is highly visible and largely self-directed. It suits someone who works proactively without close oversight, is genuinely curious about the business behind the data, and is comfortable operating in a process that’s still being built. Strong candidates are direct communicators who can hold their own with senior stakeholders, and are trusted with sensitive information.
