Business Intelligence and AI Lead | 1056801

Direct hire opportunity in Columbus, Ohio (Grove City) for a Business Intelligence and AI Lead. This is a hybrid role:

• Part BI Developer
• Part AI / Data Engineer
• Part Problem-solver for business teams

Overview:

• Focus: Analytics + AI-enabled business solutions
• Industry: Chemical / Manufacturing / Transportation
• Location: Columbus, OH (local only – no relocation / no international candidates)
  

 
They are understaffed for custom AI development and need someone who can bridge:

• Data Analytics + BI (Power BI, reporting, dashboards)
• AI initiatives (Microsoft Fabric, Copilot, AI agents)
• Programming (Python / .NET)

 
Responsibilities:

• Build dashboards + reporting for business decision-making
• Develop AI-enabled solutions (Fabric, Copilot, custom apps)
• Support data analytics and data science initiatives
• Help modernize internal capabilities (they lack manpower today)

 
Must-Have Skill Stack

• AI experience (Microsoft Fabric, Copilot, or custom AI agents)
• Power BI / BI reporting expertise
• Programming (Python or .NET)
• SQL / database experience
• Data analytics / business insight mindset
• Looking for hands-on builders, not just dashboard creators
• Ideal: 2-5 years experience
• Must be able to show real work (projects, examples, demos)

 
Environment / Culture

• Average tenure: ~20 years → extremely stable
• Strong family / camaraderie culture
  • Example: team trips
• Not a layoff-driven company
• Focus on long-term employee growth over short-term profit
• First 3 months: 5 days onsite
• Then: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (flexible)
• Not a strict 9-5:
  • Can be feast or famine
  • Occasional intense pushes (36-72 hrs in rare cases)
  • On-call ~1x every 2-3 months
